As far as I know

We have departed—or so we tell ourselves. But only just—the first step remains suspended, not yet taken. We came prepared. 

As far as I know is a performance-research project, a poetic and physical exploration of departure and the impossible act of leaving everything behind. What does it mean to truly cut ties with a place, a memory, a self? Can departure ever be complete, or is it always followed by the traces of what we leave behind? 

Through text, movement, and form, we invite the audience to inhabit the fragile moment of departure—to linger in the hesitation before the leap, in the space between here and there, the not-yet and the no-longer. The stage becomes a site of negotiation: between flight and return, between the known and the imagined.

Bunqer is a creator-duo consisting of Tine Tabak and Niels van Heijningen, a writer/dramaturg and a mimer/actor. Their work explores the intersection of mime and language, clashing the rigid, intellectual, and defining nature of words with the abstract, physical, and multi-interpretable quality of movement.

Tine and Niels believe that these seemingly distant elements can spark an engaging dialogue when brought together on stage, communicating with their audience in layered and resonant ways. They aim to create work that physically resonates while challenging hasty convictions and opinions.

Bunqer seeks to inspire audiences to live boldly, attentively, and unapologetically. Their previous work was featured at Boslab Theater Festival, Amsterdam Fringe Festival, Podium Bloos, and Studio/K.
