REUNIONS – Charles Pas / Over het IJ

This live fight against dislocation searches for new forms of social interaction.

Reunions is about our current wrestling with connection in a world where detachment and seclusion are everywhere. A great emptiness that needs to be filled.
The physical-theater maker Charles Pas goes in search of new forms of social interaction. His work consists of raw reflections on our role in the world and is characterized by simplicity, melancholy, and humor. Lonely, blocked, and confused individuals try to keep brief moments of connection going as long as possible. Instead, they fall deeper and deeper into a well of ignorance. They have lost something.
What rules do they need to look each other in the eye transparently and empathically? Will they be able to set their own insecurity aside and come together? Reunions is a live investigation into interaction.
